Annual global survey on investor insights about infrastructure

Commissioned by the Global Infrastructure Hub and undertaken by the LTIIA member EDHEC Infrastructure Institute-Singapore (EDHECinfra), the global study reveals investor preferences and trends in infrastructure markets.

Now in its second year, the Annual Global Infrastructure Investor survey is the largest of its kind. It helps infrastructure leaders better understand how markets are changing. The survey received responses from 186 investors representing US$7 trillion in assets under management.

According to Investor Perceptions of Infrastructure 2017, investor appetite for infrastructure projects continues to increase: 90% of investors want to increase allocations into infrastructure, up from 65% last year. Research found that more than US$97 trillion in infrastructure will be required by 2040 to meet investment needs. Private finance will play an important role in financing much of that need.
